Alison Malvisi Counselling

As a qualified counsellor, I have a genuine passion for helping my clients overcome emotional difficulties and achieve personal growth and fulfilment.

I recognise that every client is unique, and our counselling sessions will provide a safe, supportive and confidential environment, tailored to help you gain insight and clarity, increased self-awareness, and an enhanced understanding of emotional needs, leading to positive change.

Therapy

My approach is based on the importance of creating a supportive therapeutic relationship where clients feel respected, safe and able to explore their emotions. A holistic approach, exploring the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviours, allowing a deeper understanding of self, and the ability to navigate life's challenges with new-found resilience. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, suffering from stress and anxiety, or being impacted adversely by previous events in your life, we can explore together how best to start the process towards personal contentment and well-being.

Although person-centred at heart, I integrate my practice with cognitive behavioural therapy, guiding clients through the process of identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns, beliefs and behaviours that can harm emotional well-being. I offer practical tools and coping strategies, that can be applied in daily life to address emotional challenges you may be experiencing that are negatively affecting your mental health, and ability to live your happiest and most fulfilled life.
